I just love my Reiki Room.
This is not the subject that I want to write, but
I want to give a little back ground of this room!
Bare with me !
This space is so so SO relaxing.
When I have a low energy day, I just come to this room
and have a power nap. In 15minutes, I would be waking myself
up with my own snore.
32 minutes later, I am so refreshed and
be ready for the rest of the day!
It used to be a very small room.
If I did a Reiki class with 6 people,
it felt like inside of a crowded bus.
A space of one massage table, and I can walk around. |
In 2008, while I was in Japan with my three children
for three weeks, my husband took a wall off and
expanded the Reiki Room in a double size!
Renovation in progres |
With Sauna, Reiki room looks like a mini spa. |
Yes, my husband is very good at
"surprise gift" !!!
But, again, this is not a point of today's story.
Amazing thing happended in my Reiki Room !!
But I have to write a pre-story, again, OK?
I teach my children how to read Japanese,
at least a simple alphabets called
"Hiragana"
I love you, in Japanese is
Ah ee shi te ru
in Hiragana, it looks like
あいしてる
Then, if it is mixed with Kanji (charactors)
愛してる
My oldest son and daughter is OK with most of Hiragana.
(I have to keep up with them, otherwise they will forget soon!)
OK, back to the AMAZING story.
One day, I was getting ready for a Jikiden Reiki Certificate class
in my Reiki room.
I put out a white board and pens.
Children came in to the room, and trying to help me, but
instead, they started drawing on a white board.
My son started to write a Hiragana.
The first Hiragana was
”み” (Mi)
I just looked at his "Mi", and did not care much about it.
Then he wrote,
”か” (Ka)
I thought, "Ummm, this is kind of interesting,
would he keep writing or not?"
He kept writing more and the last Hiragana was,
”を” (Wo, pronouce "o")
At this point, my heart jumped.
Do you want to know why?
Because, the name of the founder of Reiki is
"Mr. Mikao Usui"
Yes,
"Mi ka o"
I asked my son,
"Why did you chose みかをー Mi ka o, out of all 51 Hiraganas
you have learned ???"
He said
"I don't know. I just wanted to write these Hiraganas."
I asked,
"Well, do you know the founder of Reiki?"
He said
"What do you mean by "founder of Reiki."
He did not even understand what my question was. He was only 7 years old,
and I did't remember teaching him the history of Reiki.
He does not interested in reading my reiki books.
That means, he does not know who is the founder of Reiki.
my Reiki Room without knowing about who is
Mikao Usui.
In addition, Mikao is not a common Japanese name.
Don't you think this is amazing ???
Well, I do.
Quickly, I took a photo of his drawing.
み か を |
Anyways,,,
Every time when I do Reiki classes, my children come inand check if there is a white board.
and leave lovely notes like this.
まま だいすき いつも だいすき Mommy I love you always love you |
My daughter is good at writing Hiragana.
but it always amazes me that she
writes Hiragana amazingly
backwards !
Kid's writings are so cute.
Backwards writing like in a story of
"Whinnie the Pooh"
I might correct the backwards writing if
they are still doing when they are 30 years old.
But, for now, I just enjoy their
amazingly backward writings.
Because they are so cute!
